Our lack of performance on 40m is shown on most charts below ... Obviously in 60 kHz there is no room for a small station! It's a little better on 80m (our best time "low band"), since there is a bit more room, but the obvious conclusion is that the 40m is not wide enough to contest on SSB without big artillery. Guess why I prefer anything to the SSB?
Our poor 40m performance is visible on most of the graphs... obviously in 60kHz there is no room for a small station! It gets a bit better on 80 (our best low band hour) as there is a bit more room, but the obvious conclusion is that the low bands are not wide enough for SSB contesting if you are not a "big big gun"! Guess why I am preferring anything but SSB !
